Summary

Leberagin-C (Leb-C), a snake venom protein, effectively inhibits breast cancer metastasis and angiogenesis. In vivo studies showed a significant reduction in tumor size and blood vessel formation in mice treated with Leb-C.

  • Leb-C targets integrins α5β1, αvβ3, and αvβ6, inhibiting platelet aggregation.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the anti-metastatic and anti-angiogenic potential of Leb-C in aggressive breast cancer.
  • To evaluate Leb-C's effects on cancer cell adhesion, migration, and invasion.

  • In vitro assays using MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells, D3H2LN sub-population, and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs).
