    Psoriatic scales show immune complexes, suggesting stratum corneum antibodies (SCAb) play a role. Proteases from polymorphonuclear leukocytes may activate the stratum corneum, making it a target antigen in psoriasis pathogenesis.

    Background:

    • Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition.
