    Summary

    Imipenem/cilastatin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, did not affect blood coagulation in seven patients. However, it temporarily inhibited platelet aggregation during early treatment without causing bleeding issues.

    Background:

    • To assess the safety profile regarding bleeding tendencies during antibiotic treatment.
