Summary

Polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) and polyether (PE) impression materials show similar accuracy for implant-supported fixed complete dentures (IFCDs). PE materials offer better outcomes for angled implants (>15 degrees).

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To systematically review and meta-analyze the accuracy of PVS versus PE impression materials for conventional IFCD impressions.
  • To guide the selection of optimal impression materials in implant dentistry.
