Influence of food emulsifiers on cellular function and inflammation, a preliminary study

Common food emulsifiers (EMs) may promote gut inflammation by increasing intestinal cell proliferation and migration. These emulsifiers also enhance the release of inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and CCL2, activating macrophages.
