C-PEPTIDE AS AN INFLAMMATORY MARKER IN OBESE WOMEN.

Insulin resistance (IR) in obese women is linked to inflammation. Fasting C-peptide levels, a marker of IR, strongly correlate with neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), an inflammation indicator.

Conclusions:
- Plasma C-peptide levels demonstrate a stronger correlation with NLR than other IR parameters.
- C-peptide may function as a valuable laboratory marker for identifying IR and chronic inflammatory conditions in obese women.
