Observation:

A case study of a male jeweler diagnosed with corneal argyrosis is presented.
Biomicroscopy revealed small, whitish-grayish pre-Descemet deposits.
In vivo confocal microscopy characterized these deposits as punctate and extracellular.

Findings:

The patient exhibited significant impairment in contrast sensitivity under scotopic conditions.
This visual deficit was not attributable to any other identifiable cause.

Implications:

Contrast sensitivity testing may serve as a valuable tool for detecting functional retinal alterations.
