  • 104 kidney or pancreas-kidney transplant recipients were analyzed.

  • Overweight patients had longer surgeries, more wound dehiscence, delayed graft function, hernias, and proteinuria.

  • Despite increased comorbidities, overweight and obesity did not reduce patient or graft survival in this cohort.
  • Further long-term follow-up is required to fully understand the impact of BMI on transplant outcomes.
