Laser therapy of eye diseases

In the last decade, laser therapy has revolutionized the treatment of eye diseases. In many conditions, it has replaced conventional surgery. In others, it has opened up new avenues for the management of diseases that were considered untreatable before the laser era. Figure 1 summarizes the clinical applications of lasers in ophthalmology.
