  • A higher proportion of never-smokers presented with stage 2 COPD, while smokers predominantly presented with stage 3 COPD.

Conclusions:

  • COPD in never-smokers is characterized by earlier onset, prolonged dyspnea, and elevated eosinophil counts.
  • Biomass exposure is identified as a primary etiological factor for COPD in non-smokers.
  • Findings highlight the distinct clinical profile of COPD in never-smokers, emphasizing the need for tailored diagnostic and treatment approaches.
