Shared and distinct neural correlates of first and second language morphological processing in bilingual brain

Bilinguals process their first language (L1) and second language (L2) morphology using similar brain processes, primarily engaging L1 neural resources for both. This suggests L2 morphological processing differs in degree, not kind, from L1.
