    Summary

    Several compounds were tested for their ability to inhibit bovine pancreatic alpha-chymotrypsin and cell replication. Inhibition constants (Ki) and half-maximal inhibitory concentrations (IC50) showed strong correlation, supporting a role for chymotrypsin-like activity in cell division.
