[The Duffy blood group system in the population of Nouakchott (Mauritania)]

54% of the white population of Nouakchott and 1.8% of the black population were positive for the Duffy phenotype. The percentage of Duffy phenotype in white Mauritanians was between that found in North Africa and that found in South of the Sahara.
