[Leiomyoma of the small intestine]

Diagnosis and surgical treatment of a leiomyoma of the small bowel are described. The special findings in this case are the unusual location of this tumors and the fact that histological examination revealed a benign process, although the tumor had a diameter of more than 16 cm.
