Summary

Peroxiredoxin 6 (PRDX6) significantly reduced pro-inflammatory responses, including TNF-α and IL-1β, in macrophages exposed to endotoxin. This antioxidant protein also decreased reactive oxygen species and protected cells from apoptosis.
