Blood ACE2 Protein Level Correlates with COVID-19 Severity

Higher serum angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) levels correlate with milder COVID-19 cases. ACE2 levels decreased in mild cases post-recovery but increased in critical cases, suggesting a role in disease severity.
