Are Dental Procedures Associated With Pyogenic Vertebral Osteomyelitis?

Summary

Dental procedures do not increase the risk of pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis (PVO). Antibiotic prophylaxis also showed no benefit in preventing PVO after dental work. Good oral hygiene may be key for prevention.
