Dental Correction Does Not Alter Postprandial Nutrient Concentrations in Healthy Mares

Dental correction in horses may improve feed digestion, indicated by reduced fecal particle size. However, it did not significantly alter postprandial nutrient levels after consuming a concentrate meal.

- Despite improved mechanical digestion, dental correction did not lead to altered postprandial plasma nutrient concentrations after concentrate meal consumption.
