    Summary

    Ethosuximide clearance can be estimated from a single plasma or saliva measurement. This allows for safe, noninvasive use of ethosuximide to probe human liver enzyme activity.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To determine if ethosuximide clearance (CL/F) can be reliably estimated from single plasma or salivary concentrations.

    • This method supports the safe and noninvasive application of ethosuximide as a probe for hepatic MFO activity in humans.
    • Single-sample pharmacokinetic analysis simplifies drug monitoring and research applications.
