    Summary

    ECG-gated MRI offers a valuable non-invasive method for assessing cardiac function and detecting heart disease. This cardiac MRI technique shows promise in evaluating left ventricular function and wall thickness abnormalities.

    • MRI-derived ejection fraction closely correlated with echocardiography, despite poor correlation in wall thickness measurements.

    • ECG-gated MRI is a useful non-invasive tool for cardiac function evaluation.
    • MRI can detect wall thickness abnormalities associated with heart diseases.
    • Further research may refine MRI's role in quantitative cardiac assessment.
