[Conditions facilitating the development of secondary ventricular fibrillation]
Abstract:
The relationship between left-ventricular end diastolic pressure (Pllv) and size (llv) in secondary ventricular fibrillation was investigated in 28 diseased cardiac patients. A critical level is identified in the Pllv:llv ratio at the time of secondary ventricular fibrillation, that is assumed to precondition this kind of arrhythmia. The demonstrated relationship is similar to the relation of atrial fibrillation to the critical balance achieved between the respective left-atrial parameters.
