This study presents a novel internal bracing technique for chronic dorsal hamate dislocation, enabling early rehabilitation and excellent patient outcomes. This approach offers a stable solution for carpal instability following hamate injuries.

  • Open reduction and internal brace fixation achieved an anatomic and stable reduction.
  • The patient experienced no pain, regained near-full range of motion, and returned to work.

Implications:

  • Internal bracing with ligament reconstruction is a feasible treatment for hamate dislocations.
