[An experience of percutaneous nephro-ureterolithotomy]

Herein we report our experience of percutaneous nephro-ureterolithotomy on 18 renal or upper ureteral calculous patients between December, 1984 and May, 1985. Using an ultrasonic lithotrite and a nephroscope especially developed for the percutaneous disintegration and removal of upper urinary stones via a nephrostomy, 15 of the patients were successfully treated without open surgery.
