Giardiasis and diarrhea in dogs: Does the microbiome matter?

The fecal microbiome composition of dogs with Giardia duodenalis (Gd) infection is similar, regardless of diarrhea. Giardiasis in dogs does not show significant dysbiosis, suggesting other factors influence disease severity.
