Long-term Observation in Patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with Early Introduction of a Standing Program

Early standing programs using knee-ankle-foot orthoses (KAFO) may help Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) patients maintain ambulation longer. This intervention also appears to slow scoliosis and pulmonary issues in individuals with DMD.
