Average volume-assured pressure support (AVAPS) effectively treats children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) when continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) fails. AVAPS significantly reduces the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) and resolves issues that caused CPAP failure.
