  • Six population-based surveys were conducted in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Region between 1995 and 2021.
  • Logistic regression analysis was used to examine trends in knowledge of stroke risk factors and warning signs, adjusting for demographic variables.

  • Knowledge of stroke warning signs and risk factors significantly improved from 1995 to 2021.
  • A notable decline in the identification of stroke risk factors was observed between 2011 and 2021, particularly among women.
