Risks of Zolpidem among Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

For patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), zolpidem (a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic) showed no increased risk of death or exacerbation compared to other hypnotics. However, compared to no hypnotic use, zolpidem was associated with higher risks.
