Catecholamine sulfates, the main form of catecholamines in humans, were investigated as substrates for key enzymes. Dopamine and noradrenaline sulfates do not serve as alternate substrates for dopamine-beta-hydroxylase or phenylethanolamine-N-methyltransferase.
