Serum gastrin concentrations in dogs with primary hyperparathyroidism

Mild hypergastrinemia occurs in dogs with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT), but it is not linked to gastrointestinal signs or calcium levels. Treatment for PHPT does not alter gastrin concentrations.
