[Therapeutic effectiveness of various combination chemotherapy protocols in advanced epithelial ovarian cancer]

147 clinical studies concerning combination chemotherapy of advanced ovarian carcinoma have been analysed. The mean remission rates ranged between 30-40% (complete remission) and 20-40% (partial remission) for the most commonly used chemotherapy programmes. The mean duration of response was 12 months, whereas the average survival time was 20 months. In general, an advantage was found for cisplatinum-based combinations. Side effects observed were similar.
