Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate EROs across delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma frequency bands in SZ patients.
  • To compare EROs during a reward anticipation task (Monetary Incentive Delay task) between SZ patients and healthy controls.
  • To explore correlations between EROs and clinical symptoms in SZ.

  • Twenty-one patients with SZ and twenty-two healthy controls participated.
  • Participants completed the Monetary Incentive Delay (MID) task.

  • Understanding these disrupted brain dynamics in reward processing may pave the way for innovative rehabilitation strategies for schizophrenia.
