    Background:

    • Lumbar radiculography is a diagnostic imaging procedure.
    • Metrizamide is a contrast medium used in this procedure.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy of contrast medium removal in reducing Metrizamide-associated side effects.
    • To assess the relationship between Metrizamide aspiration and patient symptom incidence.

    Main Methods:

    • Lumbar radiculography was performed using Metrizamide.
    • Contrast medium was aspirated post-examination in a subset of patients.
    • Patient symptoms were recorded and analyzed.

    • 73% of patients with complete Metrizamide removal reported no symptoms.
