Diabetes-related calcaneal osteomyelitis (DRCO) patients are older, more frequently female, and experience worse outcomes, including higher relapse and amputation rates, compared to trauma-related CO (TRCO). This study highlights key differences in clinical presentation and prognosis for these two conditions.
