Chemopreventive Effect of an In Vitro Digested and Fermented Plant Sterol-Enriched Wholemeal Rye Bread in Colon

Wholemeal rye bread enriched with plant sterols (PSs) shows potential for colorectal cancer prevention by damaging colon cancer cells. Non-enriched bread also demonstrated chemopreventive effects, highlighting the role of whole grains in cancer risk reduction.
