Summary

The percentage of women performing shoulder arthroplasty increased slightly from 1.6% in 2012 to 2.9% in 2019. Female surgeons are younger, more likely to be in academic practice, and increasingly represented in the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES).
