Background:

Eosinophilic enterocolitis is a rare gastrointestinal disorder.
Characterized by abnormal eosinophilic infiltration of the small intestine and colon.

Observation:

A 29-year-old man presented with acute bowel obstruction and a history of non-bloody diarrhea.
Imaging revealed multifocal extensive ileitis, elevated eosinophil counts, and pathology confirmed significant colonic eosinophilic infiltration.

Findings:

Despite initial imaging suggesting ileitis, colonoscopy revealed segmental colitis with high eosinophilic infiltration.
The patient experienced clinical, biological, and radiological recovery after steroid treatment.
