Summary

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) requires harmonized testing and surveillance across human, animal, and environmental health sectors. Research must address knowledge gaps in antimicrobial resistance testing (ART) and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) for better antimicrobial use.
