Summary

Brain enriched myelin associated protein 1 (BCAS1) marks immature oligodendrocytes, potentially originating diffuse gliomas. BCAS1+ stellate cells proliferate in oligodendrogliomas, suggesting BCAS1 as a key marker for tumor malignancy.
