Diuretics or ultrafiltration in the treatment of congestive cardiac failure?
British Journal of Hospital Medicine
|February 1, 1987
Abstract:
Ultrafiltration provides a method of removing large volumes of fluid from patients with congestive cardiac failure without potentiating haemodynamic upset. It is a useful alternative treatment in those patients with gross oedema who are refractory to diuretic and vasodilator therapy.
