    Background:

    • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurological disease with a multifactorial etiology.
    • Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) associations with MS are well-documented, particularly HLA-DR2.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the distribution of HLA antigens (A, B, C, DR) in native Alsatian MS patients.
    • To explore correlations between specific HLA antigens and clinical/organic parameters of MS.

    Main Methods:

    • Analysis of HLA antigen distribution in 69 native Alsatian MS patients.
    • Comparison with healthy control subjects.
    • Correlation analysis between HLA antigens and clinical phenotypes, disease severity, and intrathecal immunoglobulin synthesis.
