    Background:

    • Mediastinal lipoblastomatosis is a rare benign tumor originating from adipose tissue in the mediastinum.
    • It can present in circumscribed or diffuse forms, posing diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.

    Observation:

    • Two pediatric patients, a 6-month-old boy with circumscribed mediastinal lipoblastomatosis and a 20-month-old girl with the diffuse form, were treated.
    • Both cases involved surgical excision as the primary therapeutic intervention.

    Findings:

    • Complete surgical excision was achieved in both cases.
    • Long-term follow-up revealed no recurrence or adverse effects, with the boy observed for 11 years and the girl for 2 years.

    Implications:

    • Surgical excision is an effective treatment for pediatric mediastinal lipoblastomatosis, regardless of the form.
    • This case review supports the favorable prognosis and successful management of this rare pediatric tumor through prompt surgical intervention.
