[Cause of death and young foreigners in France]

An attempt is made to analyse death rate and causes of death among a subpopulation. But the lack of strictly defined population as a basis for rate calculation gives some uncertain outcome. Nevertheless a number of detailed causes can be selected by the mean of a rather simple statistical procedure. Some of these causes are significantly higher in foreign people of 1-24 years old and seem to be specifical of them.
