Summary

Active food packaging films were created by encapsulating alpha-tocopherol (α-TOC) in poly(lactic acid) nanoparticles (PLA NPs) within low-density polyethylene (LDPE). These active LDPE films demonstrate antioxidant properties and improved water vapor barrier performance.
