Impulse oscillometry (IOS) is a viable alternative to spirometry for measuring bronchodilator response (BDR) in preschoolers with suspected asthma. Thresholds of a 26% decrease in R5 and a 26% increase in X5 are proposed for diagnosing BDR using IOS.
