Poor sleep quality is common one year after hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP). Persistent postpartum hypertension is linked to worse sleep, suggesting sleep interventions may improve maternal cardiovascular health.

  • Poor sleep quality is prevalent postpartum following HDP.
  • Worsened sleep quality is associated with persistent postpartum hypertension.
  • Interventions targeting sleep behavior may improve cardiovascular health in this population.
