A dynamic individual method for yak heifer live body weight estimation using the YOLOv8 network and body parameter

This study introduces a YOLOv8 model for automatically estimating yak live body weight (LBW) from images. The AI-powered system accurately detects yaks and estimates their weight, saving labor and reducing stress on livestock.
