Summary

Stromal cells, specifically PDGFRA+CD142-/low fibroblasts, guide monocyte differentiation into macrophages in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This interaction, mediated by GM-CSF, influences macrophage phenotype in the inflamed intestine.
