The formation of teeth, also known as odontogenesis, is a complex process that begins in utero, around the sixth week of embryonic development. There are three stages to this process: the bud stage, the cap stage, and the bell stage.

Summary

Clear aligner treatment (CAT) and fixed appliance treatment (FAT) initially offer similar oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). CAT significantly improves OHRQoL during treatment, but long-term benefits are comparable, with FAT patients experiencing persistent physical pain.
