Abstract:
Granuloma formation in the lung is initiated by a diversity of antigens and other agents including infection, chemicals, organic dusts and metabolic disturbances, all of which lead to chronic parenchymal inflammation and a varying expression of cellular infiltration, necrosis, vasculitis and fibrosis.
